The damp and mould survey provides advice and recommended remedial works to support the safety of the residents, the maintenance of the building, and prevent or arrest building deterioration.
The damp and mould surveys are a full assessment of the internal and external elements of the property to accurately diagnose the causes of the defects, along with recommended remedial works. Where further intrusive investigation is required, this is also recommended.
Our detailed reports typically contain:
- Digital thermography of the property to highlight any cold bridges or to identify sources of moisture at inaccessible heights.
- Borescope images taken within cavity walls or behind plasterboard (as required and with owner’s permission).
- Damp meter readings and moisture profiles across the property.
- Condensation risk analysis
- Discussion on the construction of the building and any routes for water ingress including defects found
- Photos and descriptions of visible mould identified
