Over the past eight years, Make Consulting’s journey with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust has been a story of growth, collaborative learning, and mutual success. From the outset, Make has played a pivotal role as a trusted partner guiding the Trust through its evolving estate needs. We’ve been privileged to support the Trust during a dynamic period of expansion, witnessing its growth from 21 schools to a thriving network of 36 academies. This transformation was largely driven by the merging of smaller Multi-Academy Trusts in the region, and Make has been there every step of the way.

OLOL Projects – A Trusted Partner from the Outset

Throughout this period of growth, Make has been more than just an advisor, acting as a true partner, deeply invested in the Trust’s success. By working hand in hand, we’ve established clear, efficient processes that allowed the Trust to scale sustainably. Make’s expertise in education estates management has been invaluable, ensuring the successful implementation of comprehensive maintenance strategies, the delivery of essential expansion projects, and the execution of site appraisals to support long-term goals.

Where Expertise Meets Collaboration

Make’s extensive experience in master planning, combined with our meticulous approach to cost management, has enabled us to offer tailored solutions that address each challenge the Trust faces. From the very beginning of any project, Make collaborates closely with the Trust and its Schools to understand the motivations behind the project brief.

Engaging directly with each School is a crucial element of our process. This early involvement allows us to better understand each school’s operational needs and how those align with the demands of the project, often leading to insightful recommendations about project viability, sustainability, and futureproofing.

Built on Trust, Delivered with Results

Make’s longstanding familiarity with each school building—gained through conducting comprehensive Condition Surveys—allows us to make informed decisions on alternative options in real time, without the need for additional desktop reviews. Our quick response times and ability to adapt to evolving situations is a key aspect of the service we provide, and something we continue to pride ourselves on.

The high quality of our advice ensures that the Trust can make the most efficient use of its financial resources. At the same time, Make’s collaborative mindset transforms the Trust’s initial vision into a fully realised and deliverable project. We coordinate seamlessly with supply chain partners to ensure that every stage of the project runs smoothly, with a shared commitment to achieving success within an agreed budget.

Make offers a comprehensive range of delivery services, including Project Management, Contract Administration, Employers Agent, Cost Consultancy, and Principal Designer services, all of which contribute to the Trust’s ongoing investment in providing an outstanding Catholic education for all.
