In order to make the best use of the existing property, Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust (LPFT) requested the assistance of Make Consulting with the refurbishment of their existing office space at Beech House, Boston.

The Challenge

The brief for this project centred around the Trust’s need to accommodate the highest number of staff within the existing building with minimal intervention to the building fabric.

In addition to this, throughout the duration of the works, a number of NHS staff would need to continue to operate from the building; this required extensive co-ordination and phasing of works.

The Solution

Make Consulting identified the optimum changes to the existing space, achieving a balance that minimised disruption to the operational site and condensed the construction programme whilst maximising the use of space.

The design provided additional meeting space, flexible working rooms and enhanced kitchen facilities. Areas not in receipt of major alteration works were redecorated to ensure the entire property was refreshed ahead of reoccupation.

Make Consulting provided a full suite of services for this project including Architectural Design, Principal Designer (CDM) Services, Mechanical and Electrical Consultancy design services and Contract Administration Services.

The Outcome

The Project was heavily impacted by the Covid 19 Pandemic resulting in the temporary suspension of works during the construction period. This was managed through our Contract Administration Services with works resuming with the minimum interruption. Works were ultimately completed on budget with the client expressing their satisfaction at the quality achieved at the completion of works.
