10 Years of supporting our community

Local Giving That Makes a Difference

At Make, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us — not just in words, but through action. Over the past few years, we’ve had the privilege of helping local people and groups through challenging times, and we’re proud to share just a few of the ways we’ve been able to offer support:

Women’s Football is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK and we want our local community to benefit first hand.

🎗️Charity

  • Men’s Mental Health Matters – We have donated to a wonderful charity, Enlighten the Shadows, who recognise that, increasingly, Men are struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicide at alarming rates… The charity provides a vital support group to help Men that need it.
  • Brinsley Animal Rescue – A generous donation was made to enable this Rescue Centre to continue to provide love and expert care for the animals that need it within their care – some are there for permanent sanctuary, and others, where possible are rehomed or released into the wild.
  • Forever Stars – This was a fantastic opportunity to get the office together, connect with other local businesses and most importantly support a charity at the same time. Our chosen charity was Forever Stars, who provide vital support for families throughout their baby loss journey and in turn, support their mental health and well-being. A very worthy cause.

👏 Good Causes

  • Our Centre, in Kirkby in Ashfield – Make have made a one-off generous donation to support the Centre with their valuable work within the community, helping people enjoy life and engage in social activity.

😷 Covid Community Support

  • Ashfield’s Got talent – A fun local business initiative that took place to lift community spirit and support local businesses that were struggling due to the Covid pandemic – Make donated a prize donation for the initiative.
  • Euro Sweepstake – The Euro Sweepstake was a means of supporting local businesses who had been affected during the pandemic. It was for businesses within the Ashfield District (so local to us). Businesses applied for a sweepstake place and were allocated a team randomly with cash prizes.
  • Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy – This Voluntary Academy in Derbyshire relies heavily on fundraising activities for much of their supplies which during Covid was not a possibility. We donated a generous amount towards much needed supplies such as new books and sports equipment.

A Note From Us
None of the above has ever been done for self-promotion, but as we celebrate 10 years of Make, it feels like the right time to share the positive impact we’ve been able to make — thanks to the hard work of our team and the trust of our clients.
