With the Condition Improvement Funding secured via Make Consulting (Make), the Team at Make created the technical specification along with other tender documents and a proposed programme for the works. The project involved stripping off the existing slate tiles and installing a new breather membrane and timber batterns to facilitate the installation of the new roof tiles.
As Barrow Hill Academy is a listed building, Make applied for and attained Listed Building Consent by composing a Design and Access Statement detailing the works, as well as providing location and site plans. The project took careful planning to ensure it complied with this but also was also in accordance with the Client’s ultimate requirements.
Make worked together with the Contractor to develop a phase plan, ensuring the Academy could remain fully operational throughout the course of the project. Make project managed the full contract of works, ensuring the Project was delivered on time and within the allocated funding.
