After a successful funding decision Make specified the works which included the renewal and upgrade of the defective electrical wiring and fittings in the building to provide safe, hazard free and compliant electrical components.
Defective wiring to the fire alarm system, including fire doors, was the main concern of the Academy as this could have caused a loss to life if the defective wiring caused the system to fail in the event of a fire.
On award of the funding, Make created detailed tender documents for the works, taking into account the main factors of the project. A phase plan was developed to ensure the Academy could remain safe and fully operational during the electrical wiring replacement.
Make project managed the full contract of works, ensuring the project kept within expected timescales and within budget.
